5] Arrogance at Kailash - Part 2

Image
Narad’s teaching had been affecting the children. They had stopped talking ill about their family, friends and relatives. Nothing is better than watching the obedience and respect descending into children.    ‘Naradji, where are we going now?’   ‘Back to Indralok. I think you two need to know more about this. This was a lesson of arrogance by virtue of having power. See, how someone can be arrogant even though he knows he is not so powerful.’   ‘What do you mean?’  Veer asked him. By this time, Yash knew that there was no point asking Narad. He will just show by himself. And as he knew, they were standing on slope of the mountain within no time. The boys had begun shivering. It was cold. Veer turned to see that it was snowing outside.   ‘Where are we?’ his teeth were chattering while speaking. Yash mustered his strength and rubbed his palms together. Narad was standing as he was.   ‘This is inside of Kailash. Ab...

4] Arrogance at Indralok - Part 1

So children, what did we learn till now?’ Narad asked the children.   ‘From Ganesh, that no task is big or small. Listen first and talk later.’ Veer replied proudly.   ‘From Hanuman, the importance of having power as well as how to use it. Devotion is the key to immortality and devotion frees us from all arrogance and negativity.’ Veer said proudly.    ‘Very good then. You two are learning fast. Now that you have learnt what happens when you are free from arrogance, learn now, what you can lose with arrogance.’   ‘Meaning?’ Veer asked Narad.    ‘Meaning, we are visiting the past of lord Indra, and learning something very important.’ Narad replied and soon, the three of them were standing behind the pillars of Indralok, watching king Indra.   ‘What time is it Narad?’   ‘It is the time when lord Indra was at the peak of ruling. Gods were worshipped regularly and the belief, that without the...

3 ] Devotion in Ayodhya after defeating Ravana.

Image
Yash was happy with his devotion, fully submerged into the kirtan of shri Ram. Veer wanted more. He was not satisfied. So, Narad decided to give Veer another glimpse. This time, he showed him the two sides of Hanuman. How strong and fierce a warrior he can be. And how he can be such a baby.   ‘Hanuman? A baby?’ Veer laughed at Narad. Yash merely kept up, until they stepped in the divine land of Ayodhya. They witnessed several sky touching temples, across it’s skyline.    ‘Wow.’ Yash said, staring at the orange flags and the sounds of temple bells.   ‘What time is it?’ Veer asked Narad.   ‘This is the time after several days when Shri Ram returned from Lanka with a victory. Lord Ram has completed his duty on earth and he knows it is his time to leave for Vaikunth, his heavenly abode.’   ‘Why?’ Yash asked him. Before Narad could answer, he took them inside the palace. Hanuman was roaming around the p...

2] The devotion at Sarayu river.

Image
The visit to Lord Ganesh was refreshing to their mind. The two brothers noticed something but did not come to their attention. They could not imagine Narad’s face. It was only his body and the chanting of Narayan. The faith that was coming out of him, was too strong and overwhelming, which was reflecting from lord Vishnu.  Now it was Yash’s turn.   ‘Are we going to Ayodhya?’ Yash was hopping up and down to meet the monkey god.   ‘Close by.’ Narad said laughing, looking at Yash’s excitement. Without wasting any time, they opened their eyes to a river bank. It was more like a stream. But they could not see anything.    ‘Where is he?’ Yash was dejected.   ‘If everyone knew where he was, then everyone would find him Yash.’  Yash was dejected. ‘Patience is the key Yash.’   ‘Well, what did your father teach you about the whereabouts of Hanuman?’ Narad consoled.   ‘He is always where there is a...

1] The first visit - Vyas gufa.

Image
The date is 7th April 2019. Yes, it is the 21st Century period and Patel family was one of the few families that followed Hinduism.  The branch itself had many different followers. So many different families followed many different ways to reach the same goal. Some did Yagna. Some did idol worshipping. And some lived through their Karma. They were truly blessed to have such faithful children. As Acharya Chanakya once said, A man who has a faithful wife, obedient children and hardworking servants, has already achieved heaven. Tonight was different. Tonight, Veer and his little brother Yash had begun asking questions. Questions about why the gods of India are so different. Why are there animals? So, like every parent, even their parents prayed after their teachings did not work. So, Narad - the messenger of god decided something special for them.   ‘Where do you wish to go first children?’ he asked gleefully, and the children were on their feet! ...
